Ruth works with a number of nonprofit organisations in the Gold Coast Region.
Ruth is Chairperson of Lifehouse Project that supports young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, in particular young mothers.
Care For Life is a suicide prevention association. Care For Life is dedicated to preventing youth suicide and has developed a number of initiatives in the Gold Coast region, such as the Youth Info Card.
Ruth supports SCISCO Career Pathways develop mentoring programs for youth at risk of early school leaving.
YHES House is a service funded to work with youth at risk and young parents. Lifehouse project works closely with YHES House and together they run Asher Grove, a supported accommodation service for teenage mothers.
SAILS (Sailing Adventures in Life Skills) is an organisation based on the Gold Coast that provides sailing trips to young people and disadvantaged families.
